Video Transcoder
Convert video to MP4 or WebM and resize or shrink it, GPU-accelerated in your browser with WebCodecs. No upload, no server.
Your browser can't run this tool. It needs the WebCodecs API (Chrome, Edge, or Safari 16.4+). Firefox does not support video encoding yet.

⚠️ This version re-encodes the video only — audio is dropped. (Audio support is the next step.)
How to use
Drop a video, choose the output format, size, frame rate, and quality, then press Convert. The tool re-encodes every frame using your device's hardware video encoder through the browser's WebCodecs API, so it's fast and completely private: the file never leaves your device.
Good to know
- Works in Chrome, Edge, and Safari 16.4+. Firefox can't encode video yet and will show a notice.
- Each frame is re-drawn at your chosen frame rate, so playback runs the same length as the original.
- This version keeps the picture only; audio is not carried over yet. Full audio (and true frame-exact remux) is the job of the heavier ffmpeg-based tool planned next.
- Great for shrinking a clip, changing the container, or resizing for upload limits.
